Virtual Public Meeting

Join your neighbors ONLINE for the Public Meeting on Tuesday, August 12th!

It's important for our area to be well represented on the virtual meeting with the TCEQ and NTNSM (the applicant) on Tuesday, August 12th at 6:00 p.m. Whether you want to speak or not, you must be registered to view the meeting. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER TO ATTEND

We're hoping to have many neighbors tuning in (even if you do not want to speak...that's okay, you don't have to!). If you do plan to speak and need tips or want someone to help you review your speech, you can email TRACC at nodenisoncrusher@gmail.com. Please make sure to note that you would like to speak.

Here is how the evening will go...

The first portion of the Zoom call will be an informal discussion with the applicant, North Texas Natural Select Materials, LLC, and the TCEQ. During this time, you are welcome to ask any questions you may have regarding the site including but not limited to water needs, how they will maintain dust control, information about the location for where the crusher will go, details pertaining to their operations plan, asking them if they have purchased the crusher yet as well as information about the crusher they have purchased, what will happen if they purchase any additional adjoining land, etc. Please note that questions asked during this time are not on the record, so we encourage you to also stay for the second portion when you can make your personal statement that will be on the record.

The second part of the Zoom call is the "Formal Comment Period." During this time, your comments and speeches will be recorded and considered by the TCEQ when deciding whether to approve the permit. When preparing your speech, keep in mind that the TCEQ is responsible for ensuring clean air, water and that the applicant failed to mention multiple residences on their application, which would allow their current property not usable to put a permanent rock and concrete crusher on. Please make sure your remarks are relevant to what the TCEQ can control. This is also a time that you can restate what you asked as a question into a statement, so that it is on permanent and recorded record with the TCEQ.
